I am an assistant professor of Applied Linguistics in the Language and Culture Program at Soka University of America, in Aliso Viejo, California.

I have been a passionate language learner my whole life which has been the driving force that lead me to a career on applied linguistics. My main researched interested is adult Second Language Acquisition (SLA). I've been teaching Spanish for more than 7 years, which has also helped me to define and strengthen my research skills and areas of interest. As the demand of learning additional languages continues to increase in a more interconnected world, it is important to understand how this learning can become more efficient, specially considered the time constrains that most people have when learning a second language.

I love teaching which is why I chose a liberal arts college, whose class size, diverse student body, and passionate language learners has helped me greatly to improve my teaching skills each semester.

I love biking, outdoors, beer, coffee and a pursing and healthy and sustainable lifestyle.
